S is for Stitching....Scrapology September Challenge

This is my design for the Scrapology September sketch.
Pop over to the blog to see the original and sketch.

Driving me (my) Bananas.

I used Lime green Bazzil as a base with a scalloped white eyelet sheet cut into two pieces.
I "stitched" together with black DMC thread over a piece of Rusted Sun Paper.
I cut a circle and made a pleated edge which I x-stitched using one of Lynn's templates.

My faithful MS Butterfly punch was used, 2 layers -black underneath and stripes on top - with pearls and jewells for the centre.

Two types of flowers were punched to embellish with a snowflake (also MS) in the centre.
I think it makes a great stamen.
Pearls were added to the centres.

Dont forget to view the Scrapology blog for other DT LO's

Leftovers....

As I had some paper left (but not a lot) I decided to make a 2nd page for a DLO.

I added a scalloped circle for journalling with a pleated paper strip.
Butterflies to match....

Some faux stitching with a white gel pen and teeny, tiny flowers :)

This is the end result. Not sure if it works as a double but as they dont actually sit like this in the album I think they look OK together.
