This months challenge was a scraplift from a Cardinal Colours Retreat 2010 class, created by Laura Buckingham. You can see her blog here.
I decided, as usual, to make mine a double (sound like an alchie - hic!)
A while back I was researching my family tree and made contact with a lady called Fran.
She turned out to be my cousin's wife's sister and sent me these photographs of their wedding.
Tony and Margaret got married in September 1970 which makes me 7 in these photos.
In case you can't guess, I am the middle sized bridesmaid.
The papers are from BG Sugar Rush collection - Runts, Nerds and Gumdrops (such lovely names?)
and some pink bazzill cardstock.
The technique was to cut random strips of the paper and punch or use decorative scissors to cut the edges.
Then layer them up so they allign to one side and trim off any excess.
I added some buttons and a couple of Die-cut shapes from the same range plus a little piece of ribbon.
The letters were from the original kit and are Thickers.
I edged both pages with a Sharpie (also from the original kit) and also ran it around the letters to highlight them.
