Good Luck Kerry

The lovely Kerry from work is now off to pastures new - sad to see her go :(

Here is the card I made for her.

I used a CWC 8x8 scalloped edged card and backing papers from my stash.
The Cat was cut with the Paisley Cricut cartridge in white as thats the colour of her cat.
The letters were cut with Ashlings Alphabet in green with a silver shadow, I then faux stitched around the edge for some dimension.

Sorry for the dark image but it was really late when I finished it.

Theo's Story 3

You may recall me telling you about the Toy Story cartridge I was playing with at
Cardinal Colours February crop.
This is the card I was making with te Characters.

Kerry had asked for the following on a card saying Theo's Story 3 instead of Toy.
She chose Buzz and Woody from a selection on the cartridge and I set to work.
The font is Mickey Mouse and I cut the banner by hand (also the apostophe as there isn't one on the cartridge??)
The card is A5 white layered with blue - the yellow is the envelope I added.

Inside she had requested this picture which hailed the release of the new film
so I had to adapt the text areas to read Happy Birthday and the date.
She also asked me to change the name on the boot :)

Kerry will have left work by now, so, Good Luck in your new job and do keep in touch :)

Monkey Business

Just for fun.

I was asked by a colleague at work to personalise the following card.
She had purchased it from WHS and wanted it as a Valentine(ish) card for a friend who calls her Monkey.
I cut the letters with the Zooballoo Cricut Cartridge in red, shadowed with gold, using a heart for the "O".

I then added glossy accents to the letters and some Crystal Stickles to the heart.

Apologies for the photo but I forgot to take a photo before putting it back in the wrapper :(

A twisted easel card

I saw one of these on the TV (can't remember where) and thought I would have a go.
Sian at work had asked me to make a card for her friend Louise who loves Tigers so I found this Le Suh decoupage sheet in my stash.

The base card is a CWC 6x6", the papers from a selection which I shared with Lynn a while back.
I cut the title with the Zooballoo Cricut cartridge in cream shadowed in gold.

In the Zoo?

Claire asked me to make a card for Ben who will be 1 today.
She asked for something vibrant with lots of animals and a photograph.
We came up with the idea of putting Ben in the Zoo and this is what I made.
I used a CWC 8x8 card and cut an aperture in the front.
I used papers from the Prima So Cute range from Cardinal Colours to cover the front and added a frame from the Pooh & Friends Cricut cartridge.

I created some "wooden" bars and added them behind the frame.
The animals were cut from Create-a-Critter cartridge mounted on 3d foam.
The letters were from the Mickey Font.

The monkeys are hanging around...

Inside I used the photo of Ben being given a shower by an elephant with stickles and Candi.

Have a lovely 1st Birthday Ben.

And more Love.....

Mine this time....
This is the card I made for Robert.
I used a CWC DL card and layered with white bazzill.
The hearts were cut with a large woodware punch and embossed with a Cuttlebug plate.
The gold has black diamond stickles, the white is tinted with ink and has glossy accents and the red has platinum stickles.

I added a strip of ribbon with a knot through which I added two heart pins.
Candi dots finished the bottom edge.

A close up of the hearts.

And in return....I received red roses.... ahhhhhhh

Love is in the air...

A Valentine from Claire to her husband, Kevin.
Supplied with four photographs from their wedding last September, I created the following card.
I used BG Sugar Rush papers cut in 6cm squares to match the photo size. As they had a watermark on them I added a strip of Burgundy ribbon along the edge and the ran a line of Platinum stickles around the whole squares.

The centre panel has a scalloped circle in gold with a red heart embossed with a cuttlebug folder.
I added stickles to the debossed areas plus a button holding two heart pins.

Two other panels were decorated with the same red embossed hearts mounted over a gold one.

Candi was added to the final panels to complete and a few heart shaped gems on the ribbon as below.

A-Z photo challenge....C is for

Cats of course.....
With me it couldn't have been anything else.

This is George who is now 4 months old, don't you just love his hairy ears :)

And his little paws...

The cats whiskers!

And sultry Ariel who is (we think) around 18 months old.

Mummy's girl....

Together below... George suckles from Ariel while she grooms him.
Nothing to be had but comfort though.

February Crop

We had a quiet crop this month as several of the usual suspects were unable to make it.

First of all Lynn and I visited Jill in her new shop to catch up on all the latest goodies (and make a few purchases!)

I made a page for the Scrapology April Challenge which, of course, I can't share at present :)

Then Lynn and I played with my new Toy Story Cricut cartridge to make some characters - I can't believe just how many pieces there are and how hard to puzzle them together!
The card I made will follow shortly.

I also took some cards to put in the shop made with Craftwork Cards products, as sold by Jill, but forgot to take photos - so Thanks Jill for sending them on :)

These we made with the Yummy Scrummy Dark Chocolate and Mint pack, co-ordinating blooms and some Candi (re-branded Card Candy). Check out the papers here.

This one used the same papers plus some from Red Romance.
I added some retro blooms and butterflies plus Candi and glitter.

For Valentines, I used Red Romance, scalloped circles and Basically Black papers.
The Hearts were cut with a Martha Stewart punch (smaller with a Woodware one) edged with platinum stickles which I also dotted around the scallop.

This one was an easel card and the hearts are supposed to hang down the front.
They are also cut from the Martha Stewart punch and threaded onto some black cord.
Papers are a mixture of Basically Black and Red Romance.

Check out the Craftwork cards selection of products at Jill's here.

New Me...........

I decided it was time for a change so visited my favourite (and only) hairdresser, Marcus, at Toni & Guy.
I had seen a photo online of a style I liked and this is his version.

Those who know me know that I really hate having my photo taken but I asked Robert to take one last night and was quite pleased with the result :)

It's quite a bit shorter than I am used to so will take a little time but I do love it - Thanks Marcus xx
