Home Sweet Home

These are some more cards I created for the Die'sire Christmas Classiques launch the other weekend.

This one is an 8x8" base with kraft card embossed with a brickwall folder.
I used the door and window dies to create the house front and added some scraps of patterned paper for curtains/blinds. The wreath and holly are from the amazing fireplace set.
The railings fit perfectly along the front and I cut an extra to look like guttering along the top.

Another 8x8" base card here with the fabulous fireplace set.
I cut it out three times and layered it so that the mantle overhung the fire, then cut another top piece for the hearth.

I cut, trimmed and layered the tree for a dimensional effect -

The papers are from my own stash.
The tree, wreath and swag were cut with watercolour card and coloured with Distress Markers.

Have you tried these yet? They cut perfectly every time!

104! Wow!

Another order from my work colleague was a card for her Great-Uncle who's 104! Wow!
The base is an 8x8" made into an Easel card.
I covered it with Kaisercraft paper from the Base Coat collection, then cut the numbers from Kaisercraft Marigold collection, both from Merly Impressions.

The stopper is also from Marigold as are the flowers and banner.

I cut and coloured a couple of Tim Holtz birds and added party hats to them - an idea I had seen on Pinterest.

They were added to the card with 3d glue gel.

The birthday is a die cut which I have coated with glossy accents.

Another recent purchase were the Nuvo liquid pearls from Tonic - some I like, some I'm not too sure of though - not as shiny as I'd have liked.

I hope he had a lovely birthday!

Heart home decor

This is another sample I made for Crafters Companion using the stunning Poinsettia and Ivy dies.

The base is an MDF heart which I painted with white acrylic paint edged with Hickory Smoke Distress ink.
The Ivy was positioned around one side and layers of the Poinsettia, cut with Centura Pearl Silver, were added to the other.
I then tucked some holly leaves underneath in green and white cardstock.
The message was cut with the lower case alphabet and placed onto an oval scalloped disc.
Copious amounts of glitter were added then along with a few gems.

I think of all the samples I made, this one has to be my favourite.

Thanks for taking a look, check out the dies here.

Die'sire Classique Christmas Collection

Well, how excited was I to be asked to join the Die'sire Design Team for Crafters Companion!
(does a happy bunny dance!)

These are some of my first samples which were launched on Create and Craft TV by the lovely Fiona Clayton at the weekend.

This one is a 6x6" card base with a mat of black cardstock then a layer of white which I pressed into an embossing folder coated with Hickory Smoke distress ink.
Behind the window, die cut with black, is some watercolour card stained with Aqua Tints.

I added some of the Ivy fronds then Poinsettia's cut with Centura Pearl Silver.
The little star on the window is the centre of the Poinsettia die with a tiny crystal in the centre.
Some tiny yellow gems were added to the flower centre too.

This is my blog badge which I will wear with pride :)

My next card uses the lovely large window die which I have cut with Kraft card.
The 6x6" base was layered with kraft and a piece of white card embossed with the same embossing folder as above - really loved this one too. I cut an extra piece for the bottom of the die to create a window box which I filled with foliage, berries, fir cones and the robin.

The swag at the top was created with the wreath and some holly leaves and berries.
This was such a versatile die set.

This little one is 4x4" covered with coredinations card.
The wreath was cut in white then layered with some foliage and fir cones plus some little gems and glitter (of course!)

I added a little bow and some gems to the corners too.

All of these dies are available from Crafters Companion or Create and Craft TV.
The weekender deal is available while stocks last until the end of today - don't miss out!

Steven's card......................late

My lovely nephew Steven was 30 in May and I made this card for him. Unfortunately I had a migraine so could not go to his party and have only just posted it - what a rubbish relative am I?

It's an 8x8" card base with Bo Bunny Basics (?) papers.

Yes, this is the JOFY alphabet mentioned in my last post (hahahahahaha) which I have coloured with distress markers and inks and yes, it's my fabulous Tim Holtz birds again!

I saw somewhere (FB or Pinterest) someone did their eyes with Enamel Accents so I had a go.
Not sure if I like the effect IRL?

That white sharpie pen came out again too.

And I dotted around the sentiment aswell.

The pearl drops are Nuvo from Tonic - not as shiny as I'd hope though.

Steven, hope you had a lovely day - sorry I could not join you!

Lynn's card..........late

I've just realised that I haven't shared the card I made for my bestie, Lynn, in May!

Base card is 8x8" with matts of black and watercolour card.
I started with my lovely Tim Holtz bird and placed him on the Happy from collection 26.

Once masked I overstamped with the vine from #33 and used the leaf from the same set along the bottom.

Having coloured these with Distress Markers and inks, I then stamped, coloured and cut the flowers from #32 & #33 and layered them with 3d glue gel.

The birthday is also from set #26 but I was waiting for delivery of the alphabet set #21 so had to draw my own which I put on a plaque (in case it went wrong!) and added with foam pads.

The flowers were finished with  white Sharpie pend and of course some gems and glitter.

I think there is a bit of an obsession going on here with JOFY stamps - what do you think?

Lynn had a lovely birthday by all accounts too.

Thanks for taking a look!
