One of a Kind - Cardinal Colours Autumn Crop

This is the page I created for my class at this weekends Cardinal Colours crop.

The papers are My Minds Eye, The Sweetest Thing - Bluebell collection.
I took the Bright Blossom paper and gutted 2” from outside edge. I used a Martha Stewart deep edge punch-around-the-page to create a border around a sheet of Cream Puff Bazzill and fixed to the dotty side of Bright Blossom. Everyday Variety was cut to 9” square, distressed and inked then fixed in centre.   I cut the Smile paper to
7” x 8 ½ “ keeping the pattern in the bottom left hand corner, distressed and inked the edges and created a tear.  I trimmed around the inside of the patterned area to create a “pocket” for my photograph to slide under on mat 6 ½ x 4 ½ from the Bright Blossom. A few blooms from the reverse of this paper  were cut out and inserted behind the tear, I used 3d foam for height too. DMC thread was used to “stitch” across the tear.

3 medium & 2 small retro daisies were punched and inked, I added detail with a Micron pen. The edges were curled and placed onto the page and decorated with punched centres and fronds. Crystals were placed in the small flower centres and also those on the page.

I punched 2 large butterflies, layered with black shadows and placed them on the page.
I used left over paper and cut elongated triangles, rolled up and glued, to become the bodies. Smaller butterflies were punched and layered as before with a dot of gold stickles in the centres for bodies this time. A Micron pen was used to create antennae.

I chose words from the matching sticker sheet and mounted them onto left over paper.
The yellow edge was outlined and they were added with 3d foam.

Thanks for looking and if you came to the crop, I hope you had a lovely time :)
