Congratulations Nicola and John.

My new colleage (can't believe its been 8 weeks already!!) got married on Saturday.
This is the card I made for them.
The base is a pearlescent pale green CWC 8x8" card.
I added a square of sage bazzill which was punched with my new Martha Stewart PATP set (yes another purchased!)

The centre was layered with CWC pearlescent paper from a block, more sage cardstock, then a panel of embossed paper on a mat of silver with a wedding ring embellishment from my stash.
The names were cut with the Teardrop Cricut cartridge.

We went along the the evening reception and here are the happy couple...

Cutting the cake...

The grand staircase at the venue, Dorton House, Seal (nr Sevenoaks)

And the first dance :)

Wishing you both every happiness!

Enjoy your honeymoon x

Crocs, cats and cupcakes...(Croc photo added again!)

Did anyone watch Croc Man last week?
The photo below shows the tank that caused the problems by leaking.
Inside is one of the Siamese Crocodiles, they were thought to be 2 females and 1 male but all 3 were girls.
They don't get on so have had to be separated unfortunately :(

And here's another one of our Daisy...

Something much more cuddly is our George in his favourite sleeping position....

I was lucky enough to be bought some more flowers too, shown below in the new vase from the Next sale.
The vase matches the new decor well, you can see the reflection of the new wallpaper in the mirror.
Hydranga heads last so well if you look after them, trimmed every other day and placed into fresh warm water, the white ones lasted a whole month! And below that? Ariel decided it was a good place to sit!

This weekend I made loads of cupcakes. Nicola at work is getting married on Saturday and so I thought they'd be a nice treat for her last day in the office (Tuesday).
These ones are Lavender scented...

These are filled with Lemon Curd and iced with lemon buttercream....

And above, the obligatory roses dusted with irridescent glitter.

Good Luck Nicola and John - Enjoy your day!

How I made my August Card Challenge Cards....

We were very pleased that Barbara from Clarity Stamps agreed to set our August card challenge and offer such a fabulous prize! See here for details.

These are the cards I made.....

I used Clarity silk art card and masked the edges to create a border.
The sun was punched from a post-it note then the sky was brayered from the top corner with a big and juicy pad and a speedball brayer - these really are the best for the task.
The land was created with a torn piece of copier paper and a make-up sponge.
I used the Alium stamp set removing one edge of tape to go over the side.
A fine-liner was used to squiggle around the image then mounted onto orange bazzill then onto an  A5 white card.

For this one I used the tree framed stamp.
I used another big and juicy pad to create the land and the sky.
The sun was the hole in the post-it for the card above which I brayered darker to look like a setting sun.
I used a make-up sponge to create shadows.
I cut around the frame and mounted onto gold mirri card.
The base is a 6x6" card layered with orange bazzill and some white vellum.
A strip of seam binding was added with a knot to finish.
