Elegant Ladies

These cards are made using the Kanban toppers. They are really pretty and have lovely gold foiling on them. The lower two have foiled acetate fronts with the toppers mounted on the front.

Flippin Cards!

Here are some cards I made with the box of decoupage prepared earlier.
I have shown the outside and inside of the images.
I'm not sure that I like the faces of these characters but the poses amused me.
The Flippin Exercise and Flippin Horseriding have mirri card behind so you can view the back of the image too.

Flip-Flops

I was reading the Stamp with Us blog and made the attached
card using a piece of patterned paper from my stash, some cardstock flowers fastened with brads and a message from CWC. The card and box were also from CWC.

Scrapaholix September Kit - Antigua

These are the pages I created from the September Scrapaholix kit.
The papers are from My Minds Eye Out and about collection with a selection of Bazzil to compliment.
Page 2 was based on the Mojoholder Challenge 122 by Kelly Goree.
I cut strips of paper and wove them onto the page at various lengths, fastened with brads then added the photographs, embellishments and journalling.
The technique this month is Liquid Pearls which I have applied to the centre of the star shaped flowers and added dots to the corners.

Party in the Park

Had a great day yesterday at Jill's with some very good friends.
I was unable to join Megan on her 1st birthday but my brother sent me some photographs.
I based the above LO on the Mojoholder design challenge 120 by Jennifer Mcguire.
The Basic Grey Lemonade collection were perfect for this project. I added some "Chablis" bazzil card stock for contrast. The small photos on the left hand page were punched with a Stamping Up punch, the others cut to 2 1/4 " squares.

Leaving Book II

My friend Denise asked me to make another leaving book for her colleague Ree.
I wanted to make something completely different from Cath's so I did the following.
I cut A4 white card in half and covered the front with Blue textured card, mounted the photograph with silver mirri card and created a rosette with my SU punches and a small piece of ribbon.
I covered the first page with stripey paper from a Cafe Club kit, American Crafts Celebration - Musical Chairs.
I added a folded piece of blue textured card, cut a tab from the front and mounted a photo with the same stripes.
Inside I added two further photographs.
On the opposite page I used the plain side of American Crafts Celebration - Cover band, created a filing pocket, cut some tab top pages and added pictures. I mounted 2 other photos onto silver mirri board and added to the page with some ribbon and candy dots.
The next double page spread was covered with the same collection of papers - Cover band and Musical Chairs. I cut some of the stars out and added to the plain page, some on 3d foam for depth.
I kept the penultimate page quite simple, just adding a photograph and some candy dots.
A few blank pages were added next for people to add messages.
The last page has a folder created to hold the CD of the pictures and space for additional ones should he choose to. Dance Floor from the same paper range was used together with the blue textured card.

The book was fastened together with my cropodile.

The Time Traveler's Wife

We went to see the film of this novel last night.
I was very apprehensive as quite often they are disappointing, not like the book at all. However, this one was really fantastic. There were a few little changes but it did not detract from the story at all.
I would thoroughly recommend a visit to the cinema to see this and cant wait for it to come out on DVD.
