Debden Gifts.

We went off to Debden on Friday for the annual Blossom Babes Retreat.

This is only my second year and last year I received some lovely handmade gifts from the girls.

This year, I thought I'd return the favour and this is the result.

I got some brown faux leather pencil boxes, lined with soft brown felt from Rymans.

The face measured approx 4x4" so I thought I'd try to personalise them according to the recipient.

Sue - Hello Kitty cut from Cricut Cartridge.

Jill - Elephants cut from Zooballoo Cricut cartridge and decoupaged.

Karen - Stamped and embossed cat, decoupaged with bell.

Feet fluffed with Flowersoft.

Ange - Sizzix die cut horse with fibres for the main and tail.

Jackie - Decoupaged image of Chickens.

Really hoped they liked them :)

Spring Update....

Nearly there.

I have been trying to keep a pictoral record of my tulips this year.

As you can see from photo below, they are close to opening.

I really loved these ones chosen at Chelsea Flower show 2008.

I wont spoil the surprise but they are really spectacular once open.

Mmmmm, is that a weed below? Shall have to remove that and quick!

Really excited as off to Debden today for our annual Blossom Babes retreat.

Easter Flowers

One of Robert's clients very kindly sent us some flowers for Easter.
I was really touched by the kind thought. She said wanted to show her appreciation of the fact that he always saves the day, like on boxing day when he went to assist with a major flood after shower pump pipe sheared off!

They arrived on Saturday and Robert opened the door, called me saying I had some explaining to do, who was sending me flowers! :)

They are so pretty and very much appreciated.

It all seems to be about storage at the moment!
I have been crafting but its all top secret until the weekend (watch this space)..

Recently I ordered some more card candy from Craftwork Cards.

They have this handy storage system now which is small boxes within a larger box.

I added mine to the empty boxes and this is the result.

It's made me very happy being more organised - how sad is that!

Pro-Marker Storage Solved..

Lynn & I have been pondering recently on the best way to store Pro-Markers.

We looked at Ikea & Costco but couldn't find anything suitable.

We wanted to separate them into colour sets so we could easily find them.

In Hobbycraft the other day I found these really useful boxes and they are perfect.

I got 4 boxes and divided them between them, blues and greens together, purples with greys and black as below.

They fit perfectly into the boxes and two even contain the rubber holders supplied by Letraset for when I'm colouring.

Sorted!

I lost my mojo again recently as my workspace was a mess!

I asked Robert to create me some more shelving so I could store things and this is what he did.

Behind the door, he added this unit against the existing wardrobe. It holds my 12 x 12 paper boxes, concertina folders, Cricut and crop bags.

On the left side of my desk he built another shelving unit as below.

Here he is, hard at work :)

It's fab, holds my really useful boxes, a recent purchase, along with some others I had from B&Q.

Tomorrow he is going to add a dowel rod under the bottom shelf to hold my ribbon spools.

The rest of my workspace is still not 100% as you can see, but, after a little more sorting tomorrow, I should be on track again. Hopefully my mojo will return now :)
