Floral Frame

A while back now I got a ScanNcut and it just sat there (shame on me!) but it's finding the time and knowing what to do, so, on a friends recommendation I visited My Scrap Chick and purchased some files. I saw this frame and thought I'd have a go.
Even though I say it myself, I was amazed at the result!

The frame is cut out several times and layered up with a stand at the back.
I got the JOFY stamps out and cut a panel to fit the aperture at the base, started stamping and colouring with Distress Markers.

The Daisies were perfect so I stamped, cut and coloured these too then tucked them into the layers with some 3d glue gel for dimension.
The Dragonflies were made in the same way but have a coat of clear wink of stella over the top.

Think I'll be making some more of these for sure!

Another Birdie

Amazing what you find when trying to tidy the craft room!
This little bird was stamped and ready for colouring.

The card is 6x6" and the paper was also in the pile of things I was "putting away" so cried out to be used. The background is the stencil I bought at the Craft barn while at Kay Carley's class.

I added a stamped sentiment from the Tim Holtz range and some fronds cut with a Tattered Lace die which came with one of their magazines - am loving this one!
A little button and thread were added to complete with the obligatory glitter - Black Diamond and Crystal.

Am enjoying this tidy up - wonder what I will find next?

I found......................flowers

This is what I found next, some lovely stamped flowers from the Sheena Douglass range.

Coloured here with Distress Markers and pearls added for the centres.
Paper and embossed wall were also in the "pile" of  "things" on my desk.

Bee Happy

I found some leftover bits from a class I went to ages ago with Jo Firth-Young using these fabulous bees from one of her stamp sets so set about finishing them.

I have used Fossilized Amber distress ink to shade them with, the finished cards are 6x6"

Just love these bees, they are so cute. I sparkled the wings with Stickles.

Awwww, so tiny :)
Some of the hexagons are raised on foam pads too.

And this one - had to buy this set as fell in love with the hive too!

Thanks for stopping by.

Copic Class with Kay Carley

In August I took a class at The Craft Barn with Kay Carley about Copic Colouring using JOFY stamps. These are the cards we made.

The first one was a practice sheet we were given which I have just finished, mounted onto an embossed brick wall folder (Crafters Companion) and some lime green card (Craftwork Cards)

I added a ribbon and some stickles too.

This was the card we completed in class.

First time I had tried Frantage too so had to buy some!

Thanks Kay for showing new techniques for both colouring flowers and also backgrounds, loved it!

Adventure Awaits - Ariel

I couldn't do a layout of George and leave Ariel out now could I?

Here is my next layout for Merly Impressions using the fabulous Kaisercraft Time Machine.

Full details can be found on the blog here.

Bloom and Grow - A JOFY workshop

I was lucky to attend a workshop at That's Crafty recently with Jo Firth-Young (JOFY) from Paperartsy  where we made a gorgeous triptych with her new stamps - this was back in July! - and I've only just got round to "finishing" it off.

I wanted to mount it as suggested by Jo but couldn't decide how then remembered I'd been given this frame as a freebie when buying Pandora charms - it fit perfectly, so I painted some mount board with Fresco paints (the same as the artwork) and placed it inside.
At some point, I may "rejuvenate" the frame but for now am happy as it is.

Below are the panels.

Thanks Jo for another fab workshop - hope to see you again soon.

Ruby Wedding

I had been busy recently with orders but can only reveal once the cards have been given - for obvious reasons - so here is another.

The base is 8x8" - most of my designs seem to be this size at present - layered with Red and White Bazzill - handy as the requester is an Arsenal fan!

I die-cut and punched lots of layers of  foliage plus a double bow.

The roses were die-cut, trimmed and shaped then dusted with Glamour Dust.

A liberal coating of Stickles and tiny gems were added.

The "40" was coated with Glossy Accents too.

Hope they had a lovely Anniversary.

Pan's People

Do any of you remember watching (and dancing along) with Pan's People on Top of the Pops?

Well, my husband came home the other week and told me he had been working for Ruth Pearson, bottom right in the photo above, so you can imagine how excited I was :)
Ruth very kindly gave Robert a dedicated copy of their book for me so I made her a little Thank-you note as below.

Just off now to have a read and immerse myself in my childhood memories!

Art Deco for Brad

Jan's husband was turning 50 so she asked me to make him a special card. The brief was Black/White and Art Deco so I made this -

The base is an 8x8" card and I purchased a set of Art Deco Frames from John - Gentleman Crafter - for my Scan'n'Cut. It's 3 layers and the middle one I cut from Silver Mirri card.
As this was my first attempt I was really pleased with the results!

Jan sent me a photograph which I printed in black and white and added to the centre.

I cut the name and numbers with the Scan'n'Cut too and created little plaques for them with jewels to highlight.

Finally some little crystals in the corners to complete it.
Hope you had a fab birthday Brad!

Dr Who's Tardis

Another order to share today, made for a Dr Who Fan

The base is 8x8" layered with Silver Mirri card and then Black cardstock which I sprayed in a spiral with Spray and Sparkle Pearl Diamond and also Iridescent.

The image was a free download from Pinterest and coloured with Copics.
I mounted it on cardboard for dimension before adding the to card.

The "Dad" and "50" were cut with a Sizzix Bigz die using cardboard which was coloured with Copics to match.

Random small gems and dots of silver stickles were then added to the background.

The card I made from his wife will follow tomorrow.

Oliver's 16th

Another request from a work colleague was a card for her computer/gaming son turning 16.
I used this image from Mo Manning, coloured with Copics.
It's an 8x8" base, letters are die cut as are the corners.

The papers are from The Bo Bunny Basics range.

I coated the name and number with glossy accents.

Hope you had a lovely birthday Oliver

Crafter's Companion Christmas Words

These are my samples for the latest release from Crafter's Companion - Christmas words.

I used Silver gilding wax on black cardstock for this one.

Tim Holtz ink was sponged through here.

A black Micron pen was used to colour through the die for the one below.

This one is made from a pizza box (the craft delivery variety - no actual pizza involved!)
& threaded with Florist wire.

Love this Poinsettia die!

The words were cut in black and shadowed with gold.
A liberal spritz of spray and sparkle and some stickles were added too.
