Accordion cards for Christmas

I have to confess that I am not the biggest fan of Christmas these days but all bar 2 briefs from Crafters Companion have been for Christmas products so, here are some more!

These are the Accordion style cards with Christmas overlays - very intricate!

Here I used the Snowman die and Snowflakes to decorate.

This one could even be a wedding card

I used the Christmas Bells here.

Good old Black and White

And my favourite Poinsettia die.

And last, I had a play with the first section of this one and cut a circle from the centre panel, then suspended the small sized scallop inside.

Unfortunately the photographs came out a little dark but Santa and his reindeers are flying high over the rooftops here.

Again the versatility is brilliant on these although a little tip if you are using them - join the overlays horizontally, not vertically for extra strength.

Thanks for taking a look.

And a wedding............

Another occasion now - a wedding on a beach.
I found these perfect papers by Bo Bunny whilst out with Lynn recently at the Craft Barn.
The base card is 8x8" (again!)

The theme of the wedding was coral and powder blue on the beach in the US so I had to include Sand Dollars.

The letters are Sizzix and the frame was made by tearing some of the wood grain paper and mounting on 3d foam.

The die is a Penny Black one.

I also got some small Tim Holtz stamps of shells and starfish which I stamped, cut out and added too.
A little stickles on the the names to finish it off - can't resist a little bling!

Congratulations to the happy couple.

A Christening..........................

Back to the Doodlebug papers for this one -
8x8" in size (seems to be my favourite at the moment) and layered with white bazzill.

Bella the Elephant was requested again for this one and this is the full stamp with all of the balloons which I stamped and paper pieced.  Letters were cut with one of my QK alphabets and the word Godson added to the balloons which were then coated with a thick layer of Crystal Lacquer.

Some lace and a ribbon were attached across the card with a bow and the central panel placed over this with some foam pads and glue gel.

I added lots of gems for some sparkle too.

Thank-you's

Next on the list were a couple of Thank-you cards.
These are 5x5" in size with a lovely shaped edge.
The papers are from a Teresa Collins 6x6" pad which I've had for a while now - I love the delicate colours.

The first one has some lace from my collection along with a leaf cut with a Sheena Douglass die.
The flower is also Sheena's - Rose Briar collection - which has been coloured with Distress Markers.

The sentiment for both is from a JOFY collection (Paper Artsy).

This one I wrapped with some white spot organza and a bow,

The flower is the same as before but has a centre from a Spellbinders (?) die coated in Glamour dust.

Back again soon!

Golden Anniversary.

The next request was for a 50th Anniversary card and I was given a copy of their wedding photograph.
The base is again an 8x8" card covered with cream bazzill the layered with gold mirri and more cream bazzill, the top layer I pricked around the edge too.

The colours of the wedding were cream and lemon so I made a bow (Sue Wilson die) and some Roses (die-cut from another Sue Wilson set). These were layered with lots of fronds cut with cream and gold.

I'm loving making these roses, they are so dimensional but can be a little too deep for layouts :(

The letters were cut using a Tattered Lace alphabet that came with their magazine and the "happy" from a birthday sentiment.

I couldn't make a card with out some bling so gems, pearls and stickles were added to finish it off.

Thanks for taking a look

New Baby card

My colleagues are keeping me busy still - I am very happy to say! - and this is another recent order for a baby card.

The base is 8x8" and has squares of Doodlebug paper patch-worked onto it. I was asked to include some pale grey as this is the colour of his Nursery and also an Elephant.

The bunting was created using a Stampin' Up punch, letters are Making Memories rub-ons (these are very precious as they are not made anymore!), threaded onto some ribbon then decorated with pearls.

Random stitches were added with DMC thread and also some buttons.

The image is Bella with Balloons from Wild Rose Studio but I only added one which I stamped with a heart instead.

Welcome to the world Charlie :)

Embossing Folders.

Here are some cards made with the new Crafter's Companion 5x7" Embossing Folders launched on Create and Craft on the 1st August.

This first one shows the Hessian and Basket Weave folders.
The flowers are Sheena's Briar Rose and Barrel of Apples.

This one used the packaging and the Woodgrain & Hessian folders.
Flowers as above.
The Church Window was from the recent Christmas die launch along with the Ivy.

Another one with Sheena's flowers placed onto the Leaf Vein.

And the last one uses the Woodgrain folder and the Bramble Dies from The Sheena collection.

All items are available on the Crafter's Companion site.

I loved playing with the Fiesta collection from Kaisercraft for Merly Impressions.
Please see here for details.

Last two for now........................

These are the last two I made for my first project for Crafter's Companion.
This first one is 8x8" and features the Christmas Stocking with the various tops and toes that come with it.
The background is the Hessian Embossing Folder.

And the last one - an A5 landscape card.
I created the sand with a Sheena Douglass embossing folder, cut and layered.
The wise men are glazed with Pebeo gilding wax.
Pearl Diamond and a white pen created the starry sky.
I cut the Nativity out a few times and added extra shepherds and some camels.

Did you manage to catch the shows and get some of these lovely dies?
They are great to work with and cut perfectly every time.

Snow Fun

Another two cards made for the Crafter's Companion Christmas Classique launch as below -

A 6x6" base with trees and snow scene created with white card.
The robins on the post box were cut twice and one reversed to look the other way.
I then added Santa's Sleigh over the top of the card in black for a silhouette.

A circular easel card for this one using the same cardstock as above.
The blue core'dinations was embossed with the Pebble folder then sanded back to resemble snow falling. I reversed the face on on of the snow people and linked their arms.
The snowflakes were coated with glue and glamour dust and really sparkled, although hard to see in the picture.

Thanks for taking a look x
