I've just got back from spending a lovely weekend of crafting with some very good friends.
We ate lots, laughed loads but still had plenty of time for crafting.
I used the time to make my BTP project from last years Merley Impressions Retreat.
Here is my version.
I inked all the edges of the MDF frame and base and covered it with the patterned papers.
I cut some paisleys from the paper and added them to areas.
The photograph is 6x4" portrait which I backed with some of the stripey paper.
I deviated from the instructions here and made some roses using a 6 petal punch taking the colours from the sheet with roses and die cut some leaves and stems.
The kit had some rub-ons but the messages didn't really fit so Lynn game me some "girl" themed ones instead.
I also die cut a Memory box butterfly, twice in solid and once in pattern then layered them up and shaped them. I also punched a couple of smaller ones and added above.
Below is the lovely original created by Chrissy.
I can't wait now for the next retreat :)
Thanks for taking a look
