Getting ready for love.....

I started making some Valentine cards yesterday for sale.

I decided to keep these relatively simple, an idea based on the framed layout I taught at last years Cardinal Colours Weekend Crop.

The hearts were cut with my Cricut and the stamped message is Stampin' Up.

They are 5" square and layered with red paper and bazzil.

Let me know if you would like one :)

Scrapology January Card Challenge - Design Seeds

Scrapdolly set our card challenge this month - to use a Design Seeds Colour Palate.

I made the following:

The image is from The Flights of Fantasy CD and is coloured with copics.
I used an A4 piece of bazzill in Blue Calypso as my card base (A5) and added some Sea Breeze Bazzill and Magnolia pattered paper. Two punched holes hold the tied bow and some gems were added to the corners.

I added some stickles to the coloured image too.

When I was browsing the my CD's, I also found this image on Fabulous Shoes which is the same colourway, so, I printed the decoupage sheet onto photo paper and made this one too.

I know the purple is a little stronger than the palate but the shoe worked so well with the darker colour.

The sentiment is Lili of the Valley which was punched and mounted with SU punches.

This is the palate -

Hope over to the Scrapology Blog for details and to see our DT's wonderful creations.

Mum to be.

My lovely colleague Victoria went on Maternity leave on Friday so I made her the following card.

The image is a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp called Caroline who just happened to remind me of Victoria!
I coloured the image with my Copics then mounted it onto some shimmery lime cardstock from CWC.
The base card is also CWC and had a shaped edge. I used some papers from a Forever Friends 6x6" pad which had this cute tumbling bear down the side. The image was raised on 3d foam.
I punched two holes in the shaped edge and tied a ribbon into a bow from which I added a tag with glittery letters to say "good luck" - unfortunately the bling does not show up to well in the photograph.

Here is a close up of the lovely image from the Moonlight Whispers range.

I am entering this card into the Kraftin' Kimmie challenge Krafty Guest Contest, details of which can be found here.

Wishing you all the best Victoria - can't wait to meet your bundle of love!

Thanks for looking!

Fresh! - Scrapology January Challenge - B is for badges.

Happy New Year!

January is off to a good start with a lovely page designed by Michelle - Momma Paparazzi who's blog can be found here.

This is my take on the layout -

I turned the sketch around and used a portrait style photograph from our recent holiday.
The papers are Basic Grey's Serendipity collection together with a piece of white bazzill trimmed to 29cm square.

I cut my bunting freehand and added the year, it's secured onto some yellow twine with staples and has some bakers twine in orange/white tied on too.

I added lots of layers of papers and a flower charm tied to a wooden heart with the yellow twine and a bow.

My badge is a butterfly which was layered over some crystal pins.
A multitude of crystal gems, in various sizes, were cascaded down the page to simulate the movement of the water..

This is Michelle's beautifully colourful page along with our usual sketch.

Do check-out the Scrapology blog for more details of the challenge and our lovely DT's creations.
