Fathers Day cards

The lovely Brodie asked me to make a couple of Father's Day cards for her, one for her Dad who loves golf and the other for her step-Dad who loves Millwall, here are the results.

Hope they had a lovely day

On your Christening Day................

A recent order for a Christening card for Kingsley.

I've used the new Die'sire Create-a-card frame for the photo with a blue glitter mat behind, the added some gems to embellish.

The Die'sire essential words are so use for occasions and mix well with other alphabets too.

Thanks for taking a look

Lynn's card

This the card I made for my lovely friend Lynn for her birthday.

The background was a sheet of white A4 card which I randomly painted several colours of Dylusion paints. This panel was put through my Gemini with the English Country Garden 3d embossing folder which had been inked with Black soot.

I matted it the layers of black card and silver glitter card.
The dragonflies are from Chloe's stamps - a recent purchase from the Create-it show near Maidstone - stamped onto the leftover card and cut out.

The edges have been blinged with Creative Expressions Icicle Sparkles which, unfortunately, don't show to their full advantage in photos.

Hope you had a lovely birthday Lynn!

Here's the birthday girl blowing out her candle on the cupcakes I made for the occasion :)

Create-a-card - Frames

Another fabulous launch of dies from Crafter's Companion - the create-a-card frames.
So clever in their design as they come in 2 pieces so you can create the frame with the detail or by rotating one piece 180 degrees, just the frame.
These are the samples I made.

I really can't decide which is my favourite - what is yours?

Converse

Finally used a stamp I bought ages ago to make this card.

Watercoloured with Distress inks.

Think its a Woodware one - perfect for the young men or ladies in your life.

Holy Communion

Apologies for the photograph, I forgot to take a better one before delivering this to my friend.
A request for a Holy Communion card for her younger brother.

Thanks Laney for the crosses which I have teamed up with the chalice from the Crafter's Companion Catitudes range.
A spellbinders frame was added behind the design plus some pearls - quite plain and simple, but perfect for a young man.

Naughty but nice?

Love these edge'able dies from Crafter's Companion.
I made these samples for a recent show where they were on offer with the new Centura Metallics.

Had to repeat the body card I made for a demonstration at Sew Simple in February but in black and silver instead of red. The show was hysterical as Charlie (presenter on Hochanda) got rather hot under the collar and kept showing it!

So versatile as to use too.

Panels added to the side of a box.

to create a centre panel

or a diorama card

or gatefold.

Would love to see what you have created with them.

Silver Wedding

A recent card I made for the lovely Jennifer who wanted a card for her husband on their silver wedding.

It's a spellbinders frame due with a tonic swirl and Sara's Shabby Chic Lily.

Congratulations to you both

Wells next to the Sea

As we were in the area, we stayed an extra night and visited the sea-side town of Wells next to the Sea. A lovely little place on an estuary where you can go crabbing - so we had to have a go!

We only managed to get two into the bucket as the little blighters kept jumping off at the last minute and running back into the sea :)

Great fun though.
