Roses are pink.....

Well, this one is!

This is my last project for the Inspirers and I was lucky to be able to play this month with Sara's Shabby Chic range - I think it's got to be my favourite so far...

I'm not sure what this style of card is called but they are cool to make.

The centre panel is a 6x6" square of Centura Pearl card which I die cut on opposite edges with the fabulous shaped die - Antique Edge
It's then fastened to the centre of another piece of  Centura Pearl 6 x 11 1/2" scored at 3 and 1 " from each edge, then die cut too.

The patterned paper is from the 12x12" pad, cut into sections and cut with the scalloped edge of the die to fit the panels.

I added the Aged Rose cut twice, plus the filigree flourish and some Butterflies.

Did you get this collection? Love to see what you've made with it.

Card boxes to match.................

It's so easy to make matching boxes for cards with depth using the Scoremaster or it's big Brother which is A3 size. You can create the box and lid to fit perfectly as below.

I made this one from 2 pieces of A4 card cut to 8 1/4" square and scored at 1" all round.

It's decorated using elements from Sara's Shabby Chic Collection, the same as the card inside.

It's a fabulous way of protecting the dimension created on a card too.

Shabby Chic....................cont.

Well, I have to say I'm absolutely loving this collection by Sara Davies!

I began with some white card 6x6" square and cut the edge with the Antique Edge die using the curve. It comes with a scalloped edge too so I cut the 6x6" patterned paper to fit inside.
Another piece was added inside as an insert.
A piece torn from the Rustic Lattice die was added top left and the Filigree Flourish at the bottom.

I adore this Classic Lily set which was cut with white card and coloured with Distress inks.

The fabulous linen script ribbon and Cherished memories die and stamp set finished my design.

Off to make a box for it now methinks!
