Darice Embossing folders from Crafter's Companion

Fabulous sets of 6x4 Darice Embossing folders are now available on Hochanda.

These are the samples I made with some of them.

I loved dressing this mannequin with ribbons and angel hair.

I ran this though twice on the jade card to double the width then cut the white panel down slightly.

Very bright and cheerful here using Distress Ink, Spectrum Aqua and Spectrum Sparkle pens!

Just for Men - Sara's Signature Range

Sara's latest Signature launch is all about the Men!
These are the samples I made.

A little plaque to go on Dad's door using the tools, cogs and word dies, plus a little gilding wax.

Bright and colourful for a Grandad with added texture from the embossing folder and dimensional stars from the dies.

A patchwork of papers with the clocks embossing folder, star and word dies.
More lovely Pebeo gilding wax here!

Tools again this time, the aperture was cut using the square accordion die.
Love the embossing folder used for the background with Silver wax.

Layers of cogs for this one - love this die - cut in different colours and piled high.

And a little grunge for a hip Dad using the stamps, papers, words and guitar dies.

All of Sara's Signature ranges are limited editions so don't miss out - this one is invaluable for mens cards!

More PaperArtsy..............

So, these just happened to jump into my basket too.
Eclectica by Lin Brown for PaperArtsy.

This card is a combination of two sets, plus a mini.

An 8x8" base with Bo Bunny paper and watercolour card.

Coloured with Distress Markers and a white gel pen, I cut several and layered them up.

Really had fun playing with these - expect to see a lot more!

Me, A Shopaholic???? - Never !

Well..................OK - Maybe........

We had to go shopping en-route to our weekend retreat and selected Birds in the Barn near Colchester this time.  It was not exactly on route and after sitting in traffic for over an hour watching multiple emergency services pass to assist an RTA, wondered if it was a good idea at all!

Well, all I can say is - what a fabulous shop! Loved it!
I've extended my PaperArtsy collection too (another 4 sets!) of which one had this lovely set of images by Emma Godfrey for Eclectica,

The base card is 7x7" coloured with Tim Holtz Distress pens.

Some of the blooms have been cut out, shaped and raised with 3d glue gel, overlapping the edge.
Think I'll be using this one a lot more!

In the meantime, him indoors got a call.........

LOL!

JOFY Mini's

These are some more I made during my weekend away using JOFY Mini's which I borrowed from Lynn (Thanks Lynn xxx) and cute 4" square cards.

The papers are from the Bo Bunny Essentials range.
Images are coloured with Distress Pens.

Thanks to Liz to for the loan of her "Happy Birthday" stamps.

This one uses a jar from Sheena's range and the border from a JOFY A5 plate.
The jar is glazed with Glossy Accents although it doesn't show too well :(

A combination of stamps from an A5 plate were used here.

Day of the Dead

I had a lovely time away last weekend catching up with some fabulous friends and spending the time crafting.
I had recently bought some of Sheena's Day of the Dead collection and made the following.

The card base is 7x7" with an white matt 6 3/4" with stamped corners.
The image was stamped and coloured with grey pens for definition. The flowers and decoration around the eye sockets were stamped separately and stuck on. The larger flowers were shaped to and added over and tucked under the black matt.
A liberal dusting of Spectrum Sparkle clear and some gems finished it off plus some dotty lines.

Thanks for looking

Keith's Birthday by Denise

So, while I was busy making Abi's card my friend Denise made the following for her husband.
She's not used Distress pens before so I gave her a little guidance and she created this delightful card.

It's 7x7" and uses a combination of Tim Holtz Crazy Birds and JOFY stamps.

Didn't she do a fabulous job!

Happy Birthday Keith.
