Emma's card..............

This is another card I made for the Scrapology March Challenge - Use dots or circles on your card.

Another Bella uptown girl here, this one is called Bianca, coloured with Copics.

 I had bought a Memory Box die which I cut with the hot pink bazzill also used to create the card blank.

This was cut into two and added to opposite corners of the card.

The pink paper is from my stash.

The image was mounted onto the same Hot Pink card and added at a jaunty angle on foam to raise it.

I also bought a large leaf punch from Martha Stewart which was outlined with faux stitching then cut and added behind the image.

Small retro daisies were punched, decorated with a fine-liner then shaped and added the bottom with pearl centres and punched fronds behind.

This card was made for my friend's daughter Emma who's birthday was at the beginning of March -hope you had a great day Emma!

Here are mine:

I used hot pink bazzill to create a 6x6" card, layered with some paper from my stash.

I die cut the circles with a new Memory box die, divided it into two and added to the bottom corner.

The message is a Woodware stamp.

I die cut and punched a variety of flowers, leaves and fronds plus two Memory box butterflies and arranged them over the circles. The butterflies are layered and raised.

Same idea with this one but using dotty cardstock too and a larger Memory Box butterfly.

The flower centres were decorated with pearls too.

Audrey....

Those that know me know how much I love the Stamping Bella stamps in particular the new Uptown Girl range.

This is Audrey, she's a stunner!

I just love this image and she was so lovely to colour in too.

The card is 6x12" bazzill folded in half and I added some papers from my stash.

The image and sentiment are mounted onto more bazzill and white was used to punch the flowers and fronds.

I added a few sparklies to the centres too.

Colouring class at Crafts-u-Love

I recently attended a Copic colouring class at Crafts-u-Love run by the lovely Alex on Skin tones.

These are the cards we made:

I adjusted some to suit the cards I had a home to finish them -

this one is by Craftwork Cards and has a fancy edge which I folded back, punched and tied with a ribbon.

I covered the front with some paper from my stash and added a strip on the exposed edge too.

Sizzlet architectural corners were added too. As I didn't have the same dies used by Alex, I used my own and added a purple mount.

The stamps are from a set by Penny Black and I think this one is my favourite.

Again I used my own dies to cut and frame this one.

The card was covered with paper from my collection and the edge punched with a large Martha Stewart design. The white is a Stampin' Up embossing folder.

I added a contrast trim inside the edge too which reflects through the punched edge.

This one is pretty much the same as Alex's although I used a different shape die and added a bow of different ribbon.

I'm liking the message die used here and may have to invest on my next visit.

In the afternoon, we made the one below using another new Penny Black cling stamp and the message from the same die set. This one is as per Alex's original apart from the ribbon trim colour.

We paper pieced the dress, socks, shoes and bow on the basket.

Below are the cards (and image) that Alex made. 

I've not completed the last one yet but she's so cute!

Some more Mother's Day Cards................

Some more variations on a theme for Mother's Day cards.

Theses are 6x6 and have been covered with patterned papers.

A Martha Stewart deep edge punch around the page was used with white bazzill, I then used dies to cut a variety of fronds and leaves also in white.

This first one has some roses made with a six petal punch and bazzill stamped with text.

I also added two layers of butterflies with a rolled paper body, some punched fronds and clear gems.

The messages are Lilly of the Valley mounted with an SU scalloped punch.

The papers on this one are Theresa Collins and the flowers are EK success retro daisy punch.

The same flower punch was used for this one too.

A little ruffled seam binding was also added to coordinate.

I really enjoyed making these ones :)

Wicked Day! - Scrapology March Challenge - U is for Use your stash!

Our lovely DT member  SANDRA created a beautiful layout which was featured in a recent issue of Scrapbook Magazine to create a layout for less than £5.00.

We thought that most people have lots of unused things just waiting for that perfect layout so the technique is to "use your stash" !

I used Basic Grey Curio papers which I have had since they first came out and made the following:

I surrounded my photograph with cut blooms from the paper, some are layered with 3d foam, and added small thumbprint photos of the day into them. I also added a strip made with photobooth down one side.

I wanted to added lots of photo's of our day out  - organised by Robert and Lianne for my birthday last year - The show Wicked!, a visit to the M&M shop in Leicester Square and dinner at the Rainforest Cafe with a volcano of a desert as in the main picture.

I added some beautiful teal crushed ribbon under the photo which I have frilled with red tape.

I cut a butterfly from the paper I used behind the folded corners and raised the wings on foam pads.

Laptop for Joshua

A recent request from my work colleague was to make a laptop card for her son's 13th Birthday.

I covered an A5 card blank with papers in his favourite colours and added his name with letters cut from a Sizzix alphabet. These were coated with glossy accents.

for the inside I added an extra layer of card to make an easel then created a screen with patterned paper and open "windows" using white and black cardstock.

The keyboard was printed from the internet and attached it to the base.

I cut a strip of black the size of the space bar and raised on foam to create the stop.

Then I added icons to the main screen.

I hope Joshua liked his card and had a very Happy Birthday.
