Wedding Card

I've had a lot of commissions lately and I'm certainly not complaining!
This one was for my sisters colleagues at work to celebrate another colleagues wedding.
The brief was peach and mint.

I started with an 8x8" card and created layers with pricked edges.
The letters were cut from a QK alphabet, lined with a coordinating pen then glossed with Glossy Accents.

The blooms are Heartfelt Creations which have been tinted with Adirondack inks and layered up with gems in the centres. Various stems were cut from White Bazzill and also the mint paper (I think it was Kay & co) and placed behind.

One of the layers was punched with a Martha Stewart PATP set.
The bow is Creative Expressions by Sue Wilson.

Wishing Nkem and Steven every happiness in their new life together.

Time Flys

My final project for Merly Impressions was making these cards using Antique Bazaar.

I had great fun with these - a Kaisercraft stamp....

My gorgeous naughty birds!

And a favourite flower punch.

Check out the Merly Blog for more details.

Thanks for looking

Photo Frame

A friend saw my recent card with my Dad in his medals and asked if I could make one with her Grandparents on,
The base is an 8x8 card with papers from my collection onto which I stamped swirls using a Sheena Douglass stamp set.

His favourite flowers were daffodils so I created these using two different stamped flowers, both Sheena Douglass and added leaves from another of her sets.

The leaves and flowers were coloured with Distress Markers and a water brush.

Tiny gems were added to the swirl and Diamond Stickles to the flower centres.
A little drop of glossy accents on the leaves to represent dew.

Thanks for taking a look x

Baby Zac

My colleague at work recently became a Father so I made them the following card.
I used Doodlebug paper cut into 2" squares and patched onto an 8x8" card.

A photo of the newborn was added with a mat of the same papers and bunting made from a Stampin Up punch. The letters are a Sizzix alphabet.

Various stitches and buttons were added randomly.

Welcome to the world Zac and congratulations to his parents.

Home Sweet Home

I so loved this new stamp set by JOFY for Paperartsy that when my sister asked me to make a new home card for her work colleagues, knew this was the one!

The card is 8x8" - I seem to make a lot this size! - with papers from Lili of the Valley as a background.

The house were stamped, coloured with Copics, then cut out.
The background was colour washed with Tim Holts Distress inks and once dry I stamped the fence panels along the bottom.

The houses were stuck on in a row followed by the stunning trees which were coloured with Copics again and cut out. I used glue gel to add dimension here and some sparkle too!

Their names are MM rub-ons which have been mounted onto wooden effect paper and stuck on.

The message was stamped and coloured then added with glue gel too.

I really enjoyed making this one!

Happiness in your new home Jhumur and Richard!

Wedding Acceptance

Lucie at work asked me to make an acceptance card for a wedding she has been invited to in Valencia.
The bride created her own invitations which showed a row of beach huts with the bride and groom riding a tandem.

I created this one using a range of stamps, the houses are Polka Doodles, the map is Hero Arts and the planes are Woodware.
The idea was their journey to the wedding!

All coloured with Tim Holtz Distress markers and ink pads.

I added a dotted line to destination with a little red heart <3 p="">
Some punched flowers with gems were added and the word stamped with a very old alphabet set I've had for ever!
I punched some hearts and put them on the plane wings coated with glossy accents.

Bird Garden

I stamped these three together then masked them with Pebeo drawing gum before stamping a multitude of beautiful flowers by JOFY from Paperartsy.

I loved the crisp clean image created by these stamps - these are going to feature a lot too!
The images and background are again coloured using Tim Holtz Distress markers and ink pads and a water brush.

Once dry, I added highlights with a white Sharpie pen and glossy accents.

I mounted it onto some corrugated card by Anna-Marie designs then stamped, coloured and cut out more flowers from the JOFY range and added them with Pinflair glue gel.

Thank-you for taking a look.

Watch the Birdie

I recently saw a friend using the new Tim Holtz birds stamps and knew immediately that I had to have them!

Theses are my first cards using them.......

A 6x6" card base with mats of brown bazzill, Bo Bunny Basics and some watercolour card.
The image and background were coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Markers and ink pads.
A circle of paper was used as a mask to create a sun which I over stamped with a message from the Stampendous range.

I cut and coloured a flower and leaves from a set of Sheena Douglass stamps and added to the bottom corner.

His beak was coated with glossy accents.

Another 6x6" which I made in the same way - I just love his expression!

Sheena flowers and leaves in the corner....

And more glossy accents.
Not sure who the sentiment stamp is by as I borrowed it from Alison -
Thank-you for the loan.

I think we can be sure of seeing a lot more of these lovely creatures!

Happy 50th Dave

My former colleague and friend Charlotte contacted me to make a card for her lovely husbands 50th birthday. She e-mailed me a selection of photographs of him growing up and asked for them to be incorporated - this is the result.

The card is 8x8 " and uses papers from MME.
I cut the photostrip with a Tim Holtz die then added the smaller photos behind.
The 50 was cut by hand (from templates) then embossed and sprayed with Crafters Companion Silver. Once placed with 3d foam I ran a line of Silver Stickles around the edge.

The other photographs are framed using a Kaisercraft polaroid die from Merly Impressions - I can see this one being very useful!.
The white frond is also from there and is already much used!
His name was cut from another Tim Holtz Sizzlet in Antique (I think).

Hope you had a lovely birthday Dave!
