Choco Chops

Whilst looking for the other crop kit Lynn bought me, I found this one designed by Wendy McKee for a Papermaze class October 2010!
The papers are Jillybean Soup - Monster Stew.

 

I can't show his photographs on here. hence the eyeball paper circles but you get the idea.

They were taken at a BBQ we had in August for his Dad's birthday, he had chocolate cake all around his face!

 

 

 I think my circle are smaller that the original as I punched them with Woodware circles.

I didn't have a star template so I drew it freehand.

Cutting all the little monsters was a challenge, they nearly became amputees!

Croc Girl

Another Papermaze crop kit, this is the latest one - September 2012- with papers from MME.

 

I used a photograph of me holding a baby croc at Crocodiles of the World, Witney, last August 2011.

It really made my day as I just love these creatures - mad I know - but they completely fascinate me.

 

As I wasn't there I had to use different punches etc to finish the page.

Lynn embossed the honeycomb and cut the tag for me - Thanks :)

 

 

The title is a new set of stamps I got from Craftwork cards, I love the way they came out.

The little circle fit onto candi too!

 

 

Such a lot of detail goes into their pages, it's always a delight to follow.

Segway - Part One!

Lynn is a regular visitor to Papermaze and was lucky enough to attend their March crop.

They have a page kit available and she very kindly bought one back for me.

 

The papers are Authentique Genuine - True, Forever & Genuine - and the kit included the cardstock, twine, brads and dew drop beads.

 

I used 2 6x4 portrait photos trimmed down and tweeked the design to fit.

Also, as I wasn't there I used different punches etc to complete it.
My pictures are from a Segway session I had bought for Robert for his birthday at Leeds Castle.
It was in April this year and it was drizzling when we started off. By the time we we part way round the heavens had opened and we were totally drenched. Southern Segway called it off and told us to rebook for another time. It was a real shame but we enjoyed what time we had doing it and would totally recommend it!

 

 

I trimmed around the edge of the large butterflies wings and put the papers underneath.

 

I loved the laced effect below.

 

I also punched a couple of butterflies and tied the leftover twine around their middles.

B is for Bunting - Scrapology April Challenge

This months challenge is based on a LO by Sarah Youde.

I used papers from The Girls Paperie collection, Die-Cut Newsprint Scallop, Cabbage Rose, Vintage Patchwork and Shabby Flower.

The technique is to use Bunting, mine was created with Techique Tuesday stamps.

I stamped onto the page then again onto patterned paper which I then cut out and 3d'd onto the main image.

The stamps have tiny serations on the edge so this was a good way of showing that without having to cut each bit out. I added a line of Glossy Accents to represent the cord.

I used the inside of the border as a guide and cut the Cabbage Rose to fit at an angle within.

A sizzix photo frame was cut from the Shabby flower and the centre were stamped with Imagine Thats own range of stamps designed to fit into the Tim Holtz ticket die. The inked edges gave definition.

I cut rough circles and used the spiral technique to create some roses the fronds were punched with a Martha Stewart branch punch.

I cut the title with Don Juan Cricut Cartridge.
