Celebration - Another catch-up

Last year at Jill's retreat - Cardinal Colours - I joined a card class with
Zoe used Stampin' Up papers Celebration and a stamp set and showed us how to make the following:

First a lovely exploding box which open to reveal...

a birthday cake with candle!
These are the little battery operated ones you can pick up quite cheaply which has
been covered with papers.

An easel card with balloons.

And a candle card which I have tweeked slightly as I didn't have all the bits.

Thanks for a fab class Zoe - sorry it's taken so long to finish and blog!

The kit contained so many papers and card that I continued to make these:

Thanks for looking

Stampin' Up Day Out - Part III

These are the items we made in the last class of the day.
Designed by Zoe using the Polar Party stamp set and new colours of cardstock/paper.

First we made this gift box using an A4 sheet of card - very versatile and to come in very handy soon!

Then this lovely little card.
I used Copics to colour my images.
This polar bear is sooo cute...

And then a tag which I turned into a card too.

Thanks again Zoe and Natalie for a fab day out - looking forward to the next one!

Stampin' Up - A day out

Lynn and I recently went to a Stampin' Up class with Zoe Pierson and Natalie O'Shea where we had several workshops - a fab day ladies - Thanks!
The first class of the day was with Zoe, making the cards as above.
The papers are from Holly Berry Bouquet and the images stamped from Pines and Poinsettia's.
We stamped and decoupaged the florals below.
The design was lovely to separate into layers.

This is the second card which has a rosette flower in the centre.
The pines are coloured with the SU pens which are lush - NO! Linda - you cannot buy more pens!!!

But, they do create a lovely effect???

This is the last card - for some reason the photograph wont stay the right way up on here?

Again the central panel was coloured with the pens - sitting on my hands now!
I'll share some more soon.

Stampin' Up Class at Scrapology's Crop

Mrs Wonka (aka Zoe) came along to the crop with Natalie, to teach a class with Stampin' Up products.
See Zoe's blog for details on SU products here.

These are my cards -
We started by making a decorative folder to store them in...

stamped with snowflakes...

This is how is looks open with the cards...

And here are close-ups of the cards.

The kit was excellent value for money with loads of products left over.
I hope to make a few more soon.

Chocolate for Zoe

It was Zoe's birthday before the retreat and I forgot to take her card along - bad girl!
So I'll be giving it to her today instead.
We all know that she loves chocolate so I created an everlasting bar just for her.

I even used my Stampin' Up stamps and punch to create the greeting.

The letters are from sassafrass.

So sorry it's late Zoe but hope you had a fabulous birthday!

More baking & Zoe's birthday cake(s)

The beginning of September was our monthy crop at Cardinal Colours.
Zoe was due to join us again but unfortunately was under the weather and unable to come.
It's her birthday this month so we had a few treats lined up - which we just had to eat ourselves!
We did think of you Zoe while tucking in though!

Anita made the most amazing chocolate fudge cake complete with bunting and deliciously embellished with "sprout"

Sprouts are cool - see, he's wearing shades!

I added to the calories with Lemon Surprise Cup-cakes.

Sorry you couldn't be there Zoe :(

Still can't share what I made craft-wise though....all will be revealed soon!

Sunday I decorated the following cupcakes for work...

Coffee Cream with Hotel Chocolate's chocolate covered coffee beans!

Coconut Cream with Strawberry jam..

Two tone vanilla roses

August Crop - A bit late :)

Had a lovely time at our August crop at Cardinal Colours but have been too busy to blog it :(
I made several cards that day, 1 for my nephew Simon which had beer mugs on it (I forgot to take a picture!) a similar one to add to my stock which Liz had for her son's birthday (again no photograph!)
and the following one....
This was an image that Lynn gave me, I used copics to colour him in, papers are by BG from the Max and Whiskers collection (as were all three cards)

We were celebrating Chris' birthday and below is the birthday girl with her daughter Sue presenting her cake.
Hope you had a lovely birthday Chris.

We had a new fellow crafter this month, Zoe (AKA Mrs Wonka) who made us these fabulous neapolitan cakes - you can definitely come again!

More to follow...TFL

May Card Challenge on Scrapology - Zoe Pierson

This months card challenge was launched yesterday on Scrapology sponsored by our lovely Zoe Pierson.
Zoe designs for many magazines and also is a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, see her blog here.

My card is A5 made from SU cardstock and decorated with SU papers from the new range Springtime Vintage. The image is also SU from the Crazy for Cupcakes range. It was coloured with Copic Ciao pens and a little stickles and glossy accents used to highlight. The ribbon is from their binding range and was layered over double sided tape to ruffle it.

The message is from SU too - in fact, it mostly is :)
Below is a close-up of the cupcakes.

This is the sketch we followed.

Thanks Zoe for setting a fab challenge!
Dont forget to check out the other DT entries on Scrapology & look out for the prize to be announced in a few days time.
Why not hop over to Zoe's blog to see other great SU products.
