Birthday Party 2

Here's another card I made for Sara's Birthday collection launch.

I've been making these kusudama flowers for years since finding a tutorial in a magazine.

They are so easy to do and are very effective.

I made three different coloured blooms and attached them to an 8x8" card covered with another print from the collection and a wrap too.

The white leaves are from the Autumn Morning collection.

Of course, some bling and stickles were obligatory to finish the project!

Keep on Crafting - 19th October

I was lucky enough to have another demonstration day last month at Keep on Crafting in 

Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. A tiny shop packed full of lovely crafty goodies!

An early start as I know how bad the Dartford Tunnel can be - and I wasn't wrong -

Some lovely ladies came in and we had a great time playing with Create-a-card Christmas dies and Sara's Autumn Morning and Little Angels collections.

Here are some of the samples I took with me.

Crafter's Companion 11th Birthday Blog Hop!

Hi Everyone, welcome to my blog.

I had great fun creating this project for one of you to win in the Birthday Pass-the-Parcel Blog hop - details here - Good Luck!

I've created an advent box using the fabulous freebies and papers from the CD that come with Crafter's Inspiration 12.

Let me show you round.......

I began with a lovely wooden drawer unit purchased on a recent visit to the Newton Aycliffe store, and gave the edges a coat of Pebeo Dyna paint #357. It covers beautifully and leaves an iridescent finish.

Whilst it was drying, I printed lots of patterned papers and embellishments from the CD using Crafter's Companion Light Printable card.

These were then used to create little advent envelopes which I have decorated using the fabulous luxury glitter cardstock - I don't think I've ever seen one so sparkly before, I am in love!

There is also a little ornament for your tree made from the dies and stamps that come with the magazine - I can't believe how brilliant these gifts are!

And the other side.....

The drawer fronts have been treated to Leonie's embossing folder highlighted with a scattering of gems.

The top and sides were covered then embellished as above with the deer, on top with flowers and lots of bling....... 

And with this cute little character - all from the CD.

Someone was 50!

A colleague at work asked me to make a card for her husbands 50th, the brief being to hang a number plate on their garage doors - must admit I have never been to their house although she said they're a dead ringer! :)

The card is 8x8" gatefold and I added the "slats" using strips of card distressed with ink, they are dimensional too.

I found a lock brad which I added plus a round brad to hang the number plate on.

Sara's Signature Autumn Morning collection added the foliage to the sides and clock hands from a Tim Holtz Bigz die served for the hinges.

On the inside are a collection of family photos placed on "shelves".

Anyway, Congratulations to Sara & family on the arrival of Charles!

These are the cards I made for the recent launch of the Little Angels Signature collection.

I think this has been my favourite so far, it's so cute!
